Kathy Edstrom

Meet The Owner

Kathy Edstrom received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1988. Her areas of study included Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, and Organizational Communication.

She received her certification as a Laboratory Animal Technician from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science in 1992. As a certified LAT, Kathy focused on animal care and animal welfare.

She received her certification as a Flower Essence Practitioner from the Flower Essence Society in 2000. Kathy has been working with English Flower Essences in her practice since 1998, and expanded her practice to include the FES North American Quintessential flower essences in 1999.

Kathy received her training and certification in Healing Touch through the Colorado Center for Healing Touch, Inc., and Healing Touch International, Inc. in 2001. She also completed the Healing Touch for Animals®certification program which is separate from Healing Touch. Kathy received her certification as a Healing Touch for Animals® Practitioner in March 2007.

She enjoys dog training, especially K9 Nose Work.

Kathy trained privately with Chris Bach, Founder of THE THIRD WAY method of dog training since 1996 and became a Certified Master THIRD WAY Trainer through Chris Bach’s Trainer’s Certification Program, which is endorsesd by the Education Collaborative (EC) of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Kathy continues to utilize Chris’ expertise in canine behavior problem solving.

Kathy took the AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator exam in October 2009 and is an approved AKC CGC Evaluator – Evaluator Number 49779.

Kathy’s most recent educational certification is a Certified Nose Work Instructor. She completed the CNWI Program through the National Association of Canine Scent Work and achieved CNWI status on July 1, 2013.

Kathy Edstrom is a member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work.
