If you have an extremely shy or fearful dog; a dog with physical limitations that is unable to do a lot of walking or activities that require a lot of stamina; or a dog that does not handle new locations in a confident manner, this will be the perfect class for you. Nose Work for the Precarious Pooch is a non-traveling class meaning all classes will be held at the Paws-A-Tive Choice, LLC learning center.
Only 4 dogs are accepted into this program, due to the nature of having dogs with sensitivities.
If you are unsure if this would be an appropriate class for your sensitive dog, please email Kathy: [email protected]
Nose Work is a phenomenal sport that allows dogs to enjoy being dogs, and using their amazing ability to sniff out different scents.
Dogs that have extremely low confidence, have grown into incredibly confident dogs by going through Nose Work training.
I hope to have the opportunity to give your highly sensitive dog, a safe and enjoyable place to be, where he or she can have fun doing what comes naturally, sniffing!
Through the use of food and toys, your dog will learn how to search and locate the food or toy that is hidden, and then get rewarded for finding it. This is the beginning of teaching your dog odor detection.
